Do you offer secure server space for transferring credit card information?
YES! Our servers are equipped with the latest SSL technology so your customers can safely order your products or services online! Normally, any text sent from your browser is sent as plain text. This means that a hacker could potentially intercept the information sent from your browser and read it.

What is a "parked" domain name and how much does it cost?
Parked domains are aliases of other domains. For example, say we have mary.com parked to your main account at steve.com. This would mean that anyone who goes to mary.com would automatically go to steve.com. There is no actual hosting involved with mary.com. Mary.com merely acts as a nickname to steve.com. Parked domains are FREE on all accounts.
What is a CGI-bin and do I get one?
A CGI-bin is where you would store CGI scripts. These scripts; are used to generate online order forms, guestbooks, shopping carts, counters, and more! YES, every account comes with a local CGI-bin!

What CGI scripts come already installed? All hosting accounts comes with a hit counter, a search engine, a site creation tool, online website builder, a form emailer, and a file manager. What are autoresponders/infobots and how many do I get?
You can set up autoresponders to automatically respond to incoming email. For example, if you had an order form which your customers email to you, you can set up an autoresponder to email the customer a confirmation message. They're also known as Infobots. There are many other uses for autoresponders/infobots, such as giving information to people who don't have access to the Internet but still have an email account such as Juno.

What are email aliases and how many can I use? Email aliases are email addresses that you make up. Any mail sent to these aliases would automatically be forwarded to your existing POP email account or redirected to another third party POP account.
You can have as many email aliases as you want, your mail account is pre-configured to "Catch All" email directed at anyname@your_domain_name.com. Back to the top

We do NOT provide any technical support relating to HTML syntax, Java programming, JavaScripting, any 3rd party software, CGI programming, or CGI scripts, nor any other non-network related aspect. In the event that you submit email pertaining to any of the above. Why don't you offer pro-active updates? We do not offer and do not recommend proactive updates for anyone for 2 main reasons. First, most clients do not like anyone going into their server and arbitrarily making changes, installing/updating software, even if the intent is for their own good. Many feel this is an invasion of their space, even if it's trying to help them. Second, most updates that are released should not be applied right away anyway. Most newer versions of backend server software create complications with many user programs, until the developers release corresponding updates. For example, if you are running a program that only works with PHP 4.3.10 and we upgrade you to 4.3.11, then you realize an important program stopped working, you won't be thankful that we upgraded it, rather you will be frustrated that your program stopped working, and moreover even think we broke it. Of course the backend software can usually be downgraded without any problems, but it's much better to simply apply the updates when the client requests them.
How long does it take to respond to a ticket? Statistically, most tickets are answered within 1 hours. However, the truth of the matter is, this question does not have a simple answer. A response to a ticket all depends mostly on the complexity and urgency of it. You will see some tickets resolved within minutes, and others within hours. What happens if a ticket takes longer than 24 hours to resolve?
